Southworth Library offers the following services to its patrons:
- The Library has an inventory of over 23,000 volumes consisting of fiction, non-fiction, biographies, books-on-tape, books-on-CD, DVDs, videos, large-print books, magazines, reference titles, and collections for adults, young adults, and children.
- The Library also contains collections of local history, old newspapers, home-schooling information, and a unique "old books" collection.
- The Ithaca Journal, Cortland Standard, and USA Today are available daily. The Sunday edition of The New York Times is available on Monday. We also carry many local publications such as the Dryden Courier, The Shopper, and The Herald Examiner.
- An old newspaper collection on microfilm, including the complete Rural News, to assist in the research of local history.
- Online access to the Finger Lakes Library System databases (see navigation bar, at left). These free, licensed databases are provided by FLLS and New York State. You will need your library card to access these databases.
- Access to copy machines, color printing, and a fax machine.
