Volunteer services at Southworth Library are overseen by the 'Volunteer Steering Committee' which works under the auspices of the
Board of Trustees.
The Steering Committee consists of a core group of volunteers. Collectively, this group has almost a CENTURY of service to Southworth
Library.
Some of the services we provide are:
- Traveling Books of Dryden;
- Annual Booksale;
- Southworth Library Website Design & Maintenance by 5.twenty.three design; and
- A rotating collection is maintained at Willowbrook Senior Residential Center in Dryden.
We also administer the day-to-day volunteer activities at the Library such as storyhour reading, simple building maintenance, and administrative tasks as assigned
by the Director of the Library. Volunteers average 40 hours of service to the Library each week.
