April Storytime – Fridays at 10am

Join your friends at the library every Friday at 10am for stories, songs, and fun! Each week, we have a free book for all families, while supplies last, with thanks to the Rosen Library Fund grant from the Community Foundation of Tompkins County. Here’s what we have lined up for this month:

  • April 4 – Counting – We’re going to start out the month with a little April Fool’s fun as we count snowmen in Ten Little Snowmen by Amanda Sobotka.
  • April 11 – Cookies! – Special guest, Marion Cardwell-Ferrer of Sincredible Pastries, will be bringing cookies to decorate and will help Ms. Stephanie with the stories. We do request registration if you know you can attend this storytime so Chef Marion can bring adequate supplies! Our giveaway book will be If You Give a Mouse a Cookie, the original book by Laura Numeroff that has inspired many fun spin-offs.
  • April 18 – Fantastic Frogs – Get ready to learn about frogs and their habitat this week. The free book will be A Frog in the Bog by Karma Wilson and Joan Rankin.
  • April 25 – Celebrate Earth Day! – We’ll be singing songs about our planet and make seed bombs to beautify our neighborhoods! The Planet We Call Home by Aimee Isaac will be our featured book.

We would like to thank Clark’s Food Mart as our new fresh fruit and vegetable sponsor for storytime!
