Stories with Santa & Bluey AND all day activities and games at the library – Saturday, December 7
Kick off the Holiday Season at the Library!
- Get your Snowman Scavenger Hunt Sheet and start looking for the snowmen posters around town! They each have a number and the answer to the silly riddle to make you smile (or groan!). Fill out 10 numbers to enter in the drawing at the end of the day for merchandise, discounts and gift certificates from the participating businesses. Return your sheet to the library to get a snowman ornament and the entries. The scavenger hunt sheets will be available at the library, participating businesses, in the Shopper on Dec 3 or here: 2024 snowman scavenger hunt final
- Have some fun getting around town on the Carpenter Family Hayride tractor. Catch a ride at the library, the parking lot behind the bank or the Dryden Fire Station from 10 – 2.
- Pick a craft kit to make (one kit per person while supplies last)
- snowman ornament from beads
- Snowman from popsicle sticks
- paint an ornament
- do a scratch off
- At 11:30 our youngest ones can come for stories and bubbles with Ms. Diane to welcome the season and stay to sing holiday songs with the TC3 Music Club.
- Grab some popcorn, cookies and cider
- Sign up to exercise your brain with our escape room puzzle (no locked rooms are involved- just some fun intellectual detection).
- Try the snowball toss or dice game
- Find the trees hidden in the children’s area to answer a holiday riddle for a prize!
- Stories with Santa and Bluey (assuming flights from Australia are on time) at 2:30 and at 3. (This year we have two time slots for the stories, to help with crowding). Register for one of the time slots and plan your day around it.
- Take a keepsake photo with Santa and Bluey after they are done reading around 3:30.
- Watch Bluey Veranda Santa and other episodes in the kids’ area (to keep you entertained while you wait).
