Patriot’s Day Event at the Library- Sept 11 @ 11 am

Join us on Saturday, September 11 to commemorate 20 years since 9/11 and the work of the first responders in our community.  Meet our local first responders and K-9 Officers and their dogs.  Learn the story of the National 9/11 flag and its journey across the 50 states with the beautiful hardcover picture book, 30,000 Stitches: the Inspiring Story of the National 9/11 Flag, by Amanda Davis, meet some local first responders, learn to fold the flag and do a craft. All are welcome!

Copies of the book, a commemorative coin and the popular I Survived:the Attacks of Sept 11, 2001 book for kids will be available for families while supplies last. The program will occur on our front lawn, under the blue canopies. Register here or by calling the library at 607-844-4782.

This event is sponsored in part through generous fund from the Rosen Library Fund of the Community Foundation of Tompkins County.
