Paws to Read – Saturday, April 15 at 10:30am

Come and practice reading with the friendly pups from Cornell Canine Companions and Ms. Diane’s dog, Zeus, on April 15 from 10:30 – 11:30. You can even earn prizes and a free book!

Did you know that studies on reading to dog programs have shown that children who read to dogs improved their own reading skills in comparison to children who did not read to dogs. Dogs listen, don’t care if any mistakes are made, and as long as you are paying attention to them, they will listen for a long time! Studies also showed that children who read to dogs reported a greater enjoyment of reading than children who did not read to dogs.

So come on over, grab a book and find a dog to read with!
