Reptile Week at Southworth – July 20-24

Whether you want to be hands-on or are happy to just read about our reptile friends, Southworth Library has something for everyone this week!

Starting on Tuesday with our Early Readers’ Kids Club at 12:30 (at the library), we welcome Ms. Scheuring and Caleb with their turtle friends.  We’ll learn about frogs and turtles too, make some froggy slime and create our own turtle shells!

Wednesday Wildlife at Montgomery Park at 12:30 will feature time with turtles and tortoises brought by our friends Garett and Topher from Grey Biological. (Plus pick up some fresh produce at our first Youth Farmer’s Market!)

Thursday, our Independent Readers’ Kids Club at 12:30 (at the library) will be exploring the theme “Turtle Power!”

Preschool Storytime at the Park at 10am will have stories about frisky frogs!

Then on Saturday, local favorite Dan the Snakeman will be at Montgomery Park for shows all day long with his menagerie of reptiles (and more!)! Sign up here.

Email or call the library (277-4782) for more information or to register for any of these exciting programs!
