November Storytimes – Fridays at 10am

Join Ms. Stephanie and friends every Friday at 10:00 a.m. for Preschool Storytime, a healthy snack, and a themed craft. Each week, we have a free book for all families, while supplies last, with thanks to the Rosen Library Fund grant from the Community Foundation of Tompkins County. Here’s what we have lined up for November:

  • November 7 – Going to the Doctor – We’ll be talking about visiting the doctor’s office this week and will be joined by special guests from the Guthrie M.O.M. Unit! This mobile health care unit will be parked outside of the library providing services from 10am-3pm so we thought we would invite one of the care providers to come inside the library and tell us about their work! The take home book will be Dr. Mouse by Christa Kempter.
  • November 14 – Native American Heritage –  In recognition of Native American Heritage Month, we’ll be reading stories about indigenous children and families.  Our giveaway book will be Fry Bread by Kevin Noble Maillard. Ms. Stephanie is already planning on how she is going to be making some fresh fry bread for our storytime snack!
  • November 21 – Giving Thanks –  This week we’ll be talking about gratitude and how different people celebrate the upcoming holiday. Our giveaway book will be Drew Daywalt’s The Crayons Give Thanks.
  • November 28 – NO STORYTIME – The library is CLOSED for the holiday.

We would like to thank Clark’s Food Mart as our fresh fruit and vegetable sponsor for storytime!
