Kids, aged 3-14 years old, are invited to join the Ithaca College Graphic Novel Group for a fun-filled program celebrating graphic novels and comics.  Come create comics, dragons, mini-monsters, and a phoenix. Step into the world of your favorite comic with this crafting event led by the Ithaca College Graphic Novel Group.  Invent creatures, create your own comic book and color fantasy worlds!

Join the Cornell Canine Companions for an hour filled with furry friends, good stories, and a chance to practice your reading.

The theme for this month’s genre book club is “Spooky Stories”.  Pick a mystery, thriller, horror or any other spooky book to read.  Stop by the library to get some suggestions at our display in the lobby.

This club meets at Hopshire Farm & Brewery, so join us there for our genre based book club on the third Thursday of the month at 6 pm.

Bring a snack to share if you would like.

This month we'll be reading Violeta by Isabel Allende.  Copies of the book will be available at Southworth Library.  We'll be meeting at the library and light refreshments will be served.  All are welcome.

Violeta tells her story, recounting times of devastating heartbreak and passionate affairs, poverty and wealth, terrible loss and immense joy. Her life is shaped by some of the most important events of history: the fight for women’s rights, the rise and fall of tyrants, and ultimately not one, but two pandemics.

When School is Out, the Library is the place to be!
All ages are welcome to come celebrate one of America's legends, Dolly Parton!  We'll have some games, crafts, snacks and of course free books!  We'll have copies of Coat of Many Colors and Who Is Dolly Parton? for families.

Bring the kids to get their toes tapping and their bodies moving with stories and songs with Miss Angie! No registration necessary; fun for the whole family!

Have you heard about the new trendy reading groups where people gather to read silently? We’ll meet after hours at the library, spend some time getting snacks, and grab a book from our pile to keep. Then find a cozy seat and read in a room with other readers, no conversation required!

You can pick up a free copy of Mickey 17 by Edward Ashton or you can bring your own book to read.

This book group book is appropriate for ages 16+. Light refreshments will be served.
