Enola Holmes Book Club

Sign up today for our Teen Book Club! For our first book, we will be discussing Nancy Springer's "The Case of the Missing Marquess," the first book of the Enola Holmes series. Yes, the one that is currently playing on Netflix. But guess what? The book is even more fun than the movie! We will include extra materials on customs in Victorian England, the language of flowers, recipes for scones, creating your own ciphers, and more!

Hopshire Book Club

Since Hopshire is currently only open for pick up, we are going to be meeting via Zoom. We will meet Thursday evening, January 14th, at 7pm.
This monthly genre book club is going to be taking a literary tour of Russia in January. Choose from newer fiction, non-fiction, biography and classics. All are welcome!
Need a suggestion? Come on in to the library to pick from our shelves during our open hours (masking and social distancing are in place), put one on hold for curbside pickup or call for some possible titles!

For our January meeting, we will be reading Trevor Noah's Born a Crime. Give us a call at 844-4782 or send an email for more information or to reserve your copy of the book and to let us know that you plan on joining us. Use curbside pickup or come into the library to get your book.
This month we will meet over Zoom once again; you will get the link for the meeting by email. If you are not able to join over Zoom, you do have the option of writing up your review and bringing it to the library. Diane can then share your writing during the Zoom meeting.

Graphic Novel Book Club

This month we are reading the Isle of the Lost by Robert Venditti and illustrated by Kat Fajardo. The story, taken from the novels written by Melissa DeLaCruz was also a movie series. We will also work on some story writing with pages from WORDPLAY: Write your own crazy comics and we will share them at our Zoom meeting!

Story Walk - The Snow Day

Join Ms. Diane for a Story Walk on the Jim Schug Trail, starting at the Dryden Agway end of the trail. Ezra Jack Keats' classic "The Snowy Day" is currently on display page by page at various points along the path. There will be free books available for a limited number of families. Registration is required.
