Preschool Storytime: Fridays at 10:00 a.m.

Join Ms. Stephanie and friends every Friday at 10:00 a.m. for Preschool Storytime, a healthy snack, and a themed craft. Each week, we have a free book for all families, while supplies last, with thanks to the Rosen Library Fund grant from the Community Foundation of Tompkins County. Here’s what we have lined up for September:

• September 5 – The Cat’s Meow – We’ll be reading some books and singing some songs about our feline companions.  The take home book will be Original Cat, Copy Cat by Sarah Kurpiel.
• September 12 – Farms –  ‘Tis the season for delicious produce from our local farms. Our special guest, farmer Megan Moore, will tell us about what it is like managing a small farm and will bring in some particularly ugly vegetables for our craft time!  Our giveaway book will be A New Harvest by Cristina Expósito Escalona.
• September 19 – Hispanic Heritage –  As Hispanic Heritage Month gets underway, we will be celebrating the histories, cultures, and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America. Our giveaway book will be Palatero Man by Lucky Diaz.
• September 26  – Fall Into Autumn – We are going to celebrate the change in seasons and all the good things to look forward to in Autumn. Do I smell pumpkin spice? Our giveaway book will be From Season to Season by Ethan Long.
