Graphic Novel Book Club: Thursdays, July 17th – August 14th from 12:30 – 2:00 pm
Dive into a world of words and pictures with Ms. Lusk. Each week you will explore a different graphic novel and theme. Each student will be provided with a free copy of each graphic novel thanks to the Rosen Library Fund grant from the Community Foundation of Tompkins County. Note that this club starts on July 17th.
July 17th- Art Club by Rashad Doucet follows a group of young artists on a mission to prove that the arts have value.
July 24th- Doodleville by Chad Sell “is about kids coming together to solve a monstrous problem of their own making—there’s lots of drawing, an emotional adventure, and an epic battle of good and evil.”
July 31st- Mighty Onion by Mark Crilley is a funny novel about a boy on a mission to make the very best superhero comic.
August 7th- Adventures of Invisible Boy by Doogie Horner is a funny tale that explores what happens when a crazy wish to disappear comes true.
August 14th- Amber Brown is Not a Crayon by Paula Danziger tells the tale of what happens to two best friends when one has to move away.
