New York State Senate’s Summer Reading Program

Summer is wrapping up here at Southworth Library, but there is still time left to participate in New York State Senate’s Summer Reading Program. This free program encourages children of all ages to read for fun.

How It Works:

· Read 3 books this summer
· Submit the Summer Reading Form by August 22, 2025
· Receive an official Summer Reading Certificate

Why Participate?

· Supports families and educators in promoting literacy at home
· Helps prevent the “summer slide” and keeps students engaged
· Encourages a lifelong love of books and learning
· Offers a fun and meaningful way to spend summer break
