Summer Reading Challenge
Southworth Library’s Summer Reading Challenge is here!
Every time you read* for 30 minutes, color in a book on this sheet. If you come to one of our programs this summer, color in a footprint. Either way, bring it to Southworth Library for a spin on the prize wheel for each book or footprint! Every spin wins a prize! There are 14 different prizes – for kids, teens and adults!
*Reading could be with a physical book (reading aloud or to yourself), an ebook, listening to an audiobook, or a podcast. It could be reading a newspaper or magazine. Writing and story telling games count too! Tell a story, write a song, poem, or postcard! Create a character or world (for a RPG), or do a cross-word or word-search.
**One Summer Reading Challenge Sheet per person.
We are grateful for funding from the Community Foundation of Tompkins County Rosen Fund, Dryden Youth Opportunity Fund, and the United Way of Tompkins County for supporting the summer reading programs! Some of these programs are made possible in part with funds from the Statewide Community Regrant program from the New York State Council on the Arts, with the support of the office of the Governor and NYS Legislature, administered by the Community Arts Partnership of Tompkins County.
